A Course in Miracles was written by Helen Schucman, who claimed that it was dictated to her by Jesus Christ. The book was first published in 1976. The Course is divided into three books. The first book, A Course of Love, gently guides the reader from separation to union. The second book, Forty Days and Nights, is a sequel to the Course. The third book, CLARIFICATION OF TERMS, appears at the end of the third book.
